First, there is chance to stroll the old narrow streets & see the Danish colonial buildings some dating back to the 1600’s. With their glittering designer jewelry shops, duty free outlets, and time to pickup some souvenirs of the USVI, this is shopping central.

Then, tour then heads off up the steep hillsides overlooking Charlotte Amalie and past the Governors impressive mansion house, to the Mafolie Lookout Point. From here you have amazing views of St Croix in the distance, Bluebeards Castle, your cruise liner at dock, and the whole downtown area. This is a great photo stop, where your guide will give you some of the rich and intriguing history of the USVI.

From here you will continue to ascend, through the bright hibiscus trees to “Mountaintop”; a 1,547ft lookout point, from where you can see the houses of the rich and famous, the British Virgin Islands, and of course, Megans Bay. This lookout point is three times higher than the Paradise Point Cable car!

By this time you will ready to try out a refreshing banana daiquiri, and this was in fact the location where the drink was invented in 1953, using Cruzan 151 rum by a lost English sailor. Don’t miss it! Sip your cocktail on the viewing deck with a beautiful view of the British Virgin Islands & St John in the distance, plus stunning Megans bay below (one of the worlds “top 10 beaches”).

Next, you will visit Coral World Marine Park for 2 hours. Coral World is a great place to visit with kids. You can descend 15ft underwater to the reef in an air conditioned underwater observatory, get “hands on” with sharks and stingrays in touch tanks, and get up close to marine turtles, colorful parakeets, and iguanas, to name just a few of the exotic animals on site.

With enjoyable feeding sessions and friendly handlers, you will see and hear about all kinds of unique marine and animal life native to the Virgin Islands in this lush and exciting aquatic wonderland.

Alternatively, Megans Bay, Coki, and Saphire Beaches are all available to you to choose, as you wish, to swim in the gin clear waters, stroll the beach, or sunbathe, if Coral World does not take your fancy.

Each Beach is breathtakingly beautiful, and offers a chance for lunch and drinks on the beach you choose to stay at. At 4pm you will then head back to your cruise terminal shopping mall.
